A sense of humor is the most admirable quality in a person. It serves as the warm sunshine in a bitter winter. Humorous remarks help shorten the distance between people, cheer them up and warm their hearts. According to the people I have met, those with a sense of humor often look on the bright side of life and are not easily defeated in time of adversity.
My friend, Mark, is a person who possesses such a quality. Wherever he goes, his sense of humor rubs off on others. Whenever I feel sad, I like to have him around. His humorous attitude toward life often enables me to dispel my feeling of melancholy. With this special quality, he has become very popular among his friends. We all consider him a trouble-shooter and a lot of fun to be with. Though he is not physically attractive, a sense of humor makes up for his homely appearance.
